Rehearsed today with Jack and a new friend who is playing bass with us. All is going well so far, it’s fun to play some big rock. As is required, we’re outside taking a break with some beverages and smokes for those who partake.

Jack and I had a little jam session today. He’s been hot to trot on playing some cheesy 80’s-esque metal and we decided to play together for a little while tonight. Although this picture above might suggest we were playing some heartfelt singer/songwriter nonsense we were indeed writing songs about dogs with rocket engines. It is a good excuse to play on the 14×10 snare drum and a good excuse for him to crank up his amp to absurdity. Jack designs custom guitar effects pedals and repairs pedals and amps – you should check out some of his work at jackdeville.com

A glimpse of the new practice space for Bruxing. Rather hard to capture the whole room without a full frame sensor and wide angle lens, but you get the idea.

A picture of the work area of the glassblowing group at our practice space. I wandered over there today after I dropped off the rent check just to see if there was anything new and interesting worth taking a photograph of.

Back at it with Jack and Dean this evening. We came in to discover our spacemates had completely rearranged the room. They made it SEXY. They hung all of these knitted picture blankets with dogs and sleighs around the room, various patterned tapestries and a very campy amber 70’s living room light. We were all pretty impressed with the industriousness. Their choice in decor definitely reveals their Minnesota origins. This is a photo of the new drumset (one of three) that they have in the room.
